Madde being funny in Brad's shoes (Nov 2010). She looks so little.
Some background for this photo. Hunter had a blanket as a baby that he LOVED. It was an old one my sister had given us from her kids when Madde was born. It was big for a baby blanket, had hearts on it and someone had crocheted around the edge. As far as baby blankets go, it was awesome - for a girl. So Hunter falls in love with this blanket and it goes everywhere with him. He liked to rub the edges and eventually the crochet started unraveling. He loved it even more. He would sit in bed at night and pick at it. I found pieces of thread everywhere. The day finally came when all the crochet was gone, but now the edges were starting the fray. Even better for Hunter, now he just picked at the edges. This blanket was falling apart every time I washed it. Finally we were down to "pieces". That's what he would call them, "Mom, can you get my pieces?" This is what remained of the beloved blanket.
Finally he agreed to trade his pieces for a new blanket. He was okay because this one had a dog on it and was soft. Funny, he likes his new blanket, but has never really taken it to it like the old one probably because its not fraying yet.
This great contraption is called a Creepster Crawler. The theory is that it helps kids learn to crawl. It taught Dayton how to fly, not so much crawl. Oh well, it was a good theory. He loved it as long as you would push him around in it. He would get so excited his hands and legs would stick out, just like Superman. But if it wasn't moving, he just screamed. We didn't use said device very much.
Last summer we got an inflatable pool for our back yard. They are the best investments ever!! These are my kids enjoying pool time. Madde and Hunter were always sweet to let Dayton come in for a few minutes. He is a wide load.
He loves it.
