Underestimating Madde

So, in the last post I said that I was pretty sure that Madde was somewhat clueless about the atonement and resurrection. Well, I have to happily say that I underestimated Madde. Tonight for Family Home Evening (yes, we do it on Sunday) we were looking at pictures from the Gospel Art picture book. Madde had picked 4 she wanted to talk about. One she picked was Jesus showing the wounds on his hands and feet to the apostles. Madde says, "This is Jesus showing everyone his owies, he got them from dying on the cross." Then she flipped back a page or two and found the picture of Jesus hanging on the cross. I was ecstatic. Something someone said had stuck. YEA!! for good primary teachers and leaders. I'm so excited to see the small signs of a testimony. I hope she developes a deep love for the Savior.

I guess Hunter didn't want to be out done by Madde tonight. He insisted on saying the prayer. His first. Brad helped and he only said the last word of the phrase, but he was so proud of himself. Tonight, I am a proud Mom.
