We got to spend an afternoon at the state fair a few weeks ago. It was so fun. Madde loved being so close to the animals. She even got brave enough to feed them, though she was too impatient waiting for the animals to eat and it ended up being more like tossing the food in their mouth. In addition to the petting zoo, the FFA even had farm animals on display. It was fun to watch her recognize each animal. Some she even tried to "talk" to a few of them.
There was a mock farm where you"helped" out. Madde loved everything, from holding the basket to picking all the fruits and veggies.
And what fair would be complete without a tractor ride. My shorty still can't reach the pedals. Dad to the rescue.
