Meri's 7 Random Things

I enjoyed reading everyone's random things about themselves, until I actually got tagged (Thanks Jen). Well here it goes.....

1. My family is the center of my life. No news there, but there is no way to possibly understand me without realizing that my life revolves around Brad, Madde, and Hunter. I can't think of anything I would rather do that hang out with my family. Madde hopping around making us laugh, Hunter smiling and cooing and Brad just talking with me. It's perfect.

2. I have no self control when it comes to reading books. I actually convince myself I've changed until I pick up a book. The new Harry Potter book came out last week and once again I was up late several nights in a row trying to finish it. Brad got to make fun of me until his weekend came. It turns out Brad only has slightly more self control than I do. We didn't see him much on Wednesday and Thursday.

3. My kids make me a better person. I get up everyday determined to do my best so that my kids can have the best chance at a wonderful life. I never realized how much love can drive you.

4. I love gardening. This house is the first time I've ever had the chance to plant, prune, weed, etc. and it turns out that I love it. The beautiful flowers just seem to be the icing on the cake. I actually think I'm a little too prideful when it comes to my flowers. Working on that....

5. Me and Christie (my sister) share a soul, brain, heart, pretty much everything but a body. Anyone who has ever had the misfortune of spending time with the two of us can attest to that. Crist came for a visit a few weeks ago and I was reminded how fun it is to be with someone who can read your thoughts. We could look at each other and laugh. I'm not sure how many people ever get to have a relationship like that, but I consider myself lucky.

6. I'm a peanut butter snob. I only like Jif PB. I will actually wait all year long til my Mom comes into town so that we can go to Sam's Club (she has a membership). I should probably try to get some help.

7. Movies with sad endings annoy me. Even when its totally unrealistic, happy endings just make me feel like there is good in the world.

Whooo, that was tough.
